Holy Family Ingol,
Peace of Christ upon you and all the families in the parish during this great season of Lent.
I write to confirm that a transaction and Bank transfer from Lancaster (Holy Family, Ingol) to my account was communicated to me on Tuesday 17 February 2015.
I receive the donation with deepest gratitude to all who worked hard and sacrificed for my brother Benson, the six vulnerable girls in our school and myself.
Apparently, on Tuesday 17 February 2015, our Bishop visited Mazabuka Girls school for 8 confirmations of the girls we had prepared last year. I had to be there to assist at the mass of the confirmation of our pupils. Later in the afternoon I brought the Bishop to St. Edmund's school to bless the renovated school hall. The Bishop was impressed with the organisation of Religious activities in both schools. It was his first ever visit, though brief!
The donation, like the Sacrament of Confirmation received by eight girls in our school, is a sign to me, the six girls and my brother of God's providence and assurance of God's presence always in our lives when the chips are truly low and we are tempted to give up.
I am not fully back in school but I was able to take part in these activities. God always seems to give the sufficient grace when it is needed. And yesterday, Friday, 20 February 2015, I prayed with all the pupils/boys of St. Edmund's who are in the final year of secondary school (grade twelve). We reflected on the theme: "Maximising academic potential in the final year of secondary school". We finished in the afternoon having started at 09.00h in the morning. There were other members of staff and teachers who accompanied the boys. We had 163 boys.
March 27, 2015 will be a Friday. I have mass celebrated for the success of the support organised for me. And you can be sure that the support spills over to all those I minister to. Meanwhile, we remain united in prayer during this season of Lent. I shall end here for now John and wish you and all the families in Holy Family a grace-filled Lenten season. I shall keep you informed about how things go. My next review date with my Doctor at University Teaching Hospital is on 27 February 2015.
Many thanks to Fr. Peter the parish priest.
Blessed Lenten Season,
Spencer
